Wouldn’t it be silly to receive a beautiful, brand new car, loaded with everything you could possibly imagine, just to put it in the garage and never drive it.  The giver asks you if you are enjoying your new car and you reply that it’s in your garage.  Years later, it’s still in your garage, never used.

It would be silly to receive a present wrapped with a pretty bow on the top and place it in your closet on a shelf and never unwrap it or enjoy it.  Ten years later, it’s still in the closet.  Fifty years, still there not even unwrapped.

Jesus has purchased our salvation, our sozo.  He paid for our health, wholeness, salvation, prosperity and safety.  Like money that has been put in our bank account.  It’s ours and we have a right to take it.  Leaving it in the bank and never claiming it is a waste.

“Our union with Christ further reveals that because the same Spirit that awakened the body of Jesus from the dead inhabits us, we equally participate in his resurrection.  In the same act of authority whereby God raised Jesus from the dead, he co-restores your body to life by his indwelling Spirit.”  Romans 8:11 Mirror

Let's use our gifts!  Our benefits! (Ps 103:2-6)  Unwrap the present and enjoy!
