1 John 4:10
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Are you boasting in your love for God, or in His love for you?
While we were still sinners, sick, lost, and broken, Christ came and died for us.  He took our sin, He took our sickness.  He came and redeemed us!  He came and LOVED US!
He became righteous so that we can be called righteous.   2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."
Jesus did it all for us, now we just have to believe!  Believe that He loves us, believe that He has MADE us righteous.
He is faithful!
It is not about us, it's not about our love for Him, it's all about Jesus.  It is about what He has done for us.  All you have to do is believe.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.'”
John 10:10-11

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of Godin Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20
