Psalms 34:8
Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

I have quoted the first portion of that verse many times, "Taste and see that the Lord is good".  Today, as I was brought back to that verse the Holy Spirit gave me a revelation on the second part of the verse, "blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."  I looked up the word refuge and it means, "a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble".  You wouldn't need to take refuge if there wasn't any trouble.  Many people run to the world when they have trouble.  As Christians, we can confidently run to the open arms of Christ.  He is always willing to meet us, He is constantly pursuing us, and His love is relentless toward us.  Psalms 91:4 says, "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."  As we run to Christ and take refuge in Him we can know that we are protected from all trouble, He is our refuge!  Whatever you are going through know that you are blessed as you take refuge in Christ.  Today, taste and see that the Lord is good, even in the midst of whatever trouble you are facing, you are safe in His arms.
