Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

My fifth-grade teacher, Mrs. Heotzler, told us to always keep our first answer.  She noticed that many times on a test we would put the correct answer, but then question it, and change it to the wrong answer.
Recently, I was talking with one of my best friends about how we heard the Holy Spirit in regards to a situation we had to make a decision about.  We heard and we obeyed, and looking back on our decision, it wasn't a loud voice yelling at us to go a certain way, it was just a gut instinct- it was just like we KNEW what to do.
It becomes difficult when you hear the Holy Spirit but then question it.  When you go to too many people or when you seek advice from others who may not be hearing the Holy Spirit on your behalf.
Know that YOU hear HIM.  You KNOW Him.  You, child of God, know the Lord's voice and a stranger you will not follow (John 10)!
When He gives you the correct answer, you don't have to go back and question it.  Keep your first answer!  Don't change it (unless you're told to, of course)!  Don't waver because things are seemingly difficult, or because people may not agree.
Are you submitted to God?  If you are, then He is making your paths straight!  Maybe you don't understand what He is doing or where He is leading you, but as you continue to look to Him and lean on Him He will continue to direct you!  His direction is BEST, it leads to abundance!
Continue to follow where He leads.  Think back on what He spoke to you before all the noise.  Think back on what the still small voice spoke straight to your heart.
