1 Timothy 4:8
For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

While on vacation with my family I woke up and worked out with my aunt and mom.  Once we finished my uncle brought up the verse 1 Timothy 4:8, he told us that it would have been more beneficial to spend that time praying in the spirit or reading the Word.
He didn't tell us that exercising isn't worth our time, he didn't say that we shouldn't do it, he simply brought things into perspective.
He reminded me that although physical training is beneficial, spending time in the Word far outweighs it.  The Word tells us that Godliness has value for ALL THINGS.  That means that it benefits our body as well as our spirit, it brings benefits that will last for eternity.
Exercising is worth your time, but Godliness far outweighs it.
