“We are not keeping any score of what seems so obvious to the senses on the surface, it is fleeting and irrelevant, it is the unseen eternal realm within us which has our full attention and captivates our gaze!”
2 Corinthians 4:18

Sometimes we forget that we are a spirit with a flesh suit on.  We all know that when a person dies, the flesh decays, but the spirit lives.  We can see the flesh, touch it, hear it and smell it, so it might seem like the physical realm is the most important, but the verse above and many others remind us of the truth.

The unseen eternal realm within us should have our full attention and grip our gaze, but why?  “And all of us, as with unveiled face, because we continued to behold in the Word of God, as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another, for this comes from the Lord Who is the Spirit.”   (2 Cor 3:18 Amp)  Because every feature of Jesus is mirrored in us!   We do not grow more complete, we simply grow in the knowledge of our completeness.

Satan is a deceiver and does not want you to know who you are!  The Word is a mirror and we are just as Jesus is!  (1 John 4:17)

When you look in the physical mirror, you see the flesh and that mirror cannot do a thing to change your flesh or spirit.  Look in your very own spiritual mirror, The living Word of God, which can and does change your flesh and spirit!
