I was at the mall and decided to go to Sears.  Why? I didn’t know.  I went in a circle and was leaving when I passed the ladies room, and decided to enter.  While using the mirror a lady beside me began to talk to me.  Long story short, she was hurting big time and I was at the right place at the right time just for her.  She has a person in her life who has been verbally abusing her and sharing things with others that are very hurtful.  She asked me what I would do if I was her.  With my answer came “wow, that's really hard!  How can you do that?”  Before we left she was told all about the Good News of Jesus!

Being dead to one’s self, forgiving others no matter what they have done and praying for them, IS hard if you are trying to do it on your own.  But, you shouldn’t be trying to do that!  “Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I WILL GIVE YOU rest.  Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”  (Matt 11:28-29)  Now, that’s a deal!  Give Him any challenges and He will help and give rest!  Thank you, Jesus!  Having the faith to believe that, comes with hearing, and hearing and hearing, The Word of God.

We live in the world, and people, good loving people, even Christians, may hurt us.  Sometimes it could be so bad that you are almost blindsided by the hurt.  Jesus knows all about that as one of his closest, one of the three that did more with Jesus than the rest of the disciples, Peter, denied even knowing Him, and with some pretty strong words.  Give the hurt to Jesus and take His rest by faith and lots of hearing of The Living, Powerful Word of God.
