Ephesians 5:2
and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Earlier this week I was chatting on the phone with my mom about something I had said to someone that wasn't too nice. The person I was talking to is SOO nice and definitely didn't deserve the sarcastic response I gave him.
My mom went on to tell me how she had been reading earlier that day about how as Christians we are called to watch our tongue- Ephesians 4:29 says, "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."
As Christians we are called to walk in love, to build others up! Is what you're saying building others up?
I want to be known for loving people, for speaking kindly, and for respecting others.  I don't want to say things, even in a funny way, that might hurt someone.
I desire to walk in love.
Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to speak to others.  It is amazing how He will begin to make you aware of what you're saying and how you're treating others.
This week, let's walk in love.
