A saint, is a term used for a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness or likeness to God.  Depending on the context and denomination, the term also retains its original Christian meaning, as any believer who is "in Christ" and in whom Christ dwells, whether in Heaven or on Earth.

The Apostle Paul addresses the book of Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians, “To the saints”. I never gave the word saint much thought until recently.
A saint is a person who is holy and has a likeness to God. Not only that but a saint is IN Christ and Christ dwells IN the saint.

Do you think of yourself as a saint? Saint Lori, saint Allyson, saint (Insert your name).
2 Cor 5:17 says that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, all things have become new.
Romans 6:5 puts it this way, “For if we have become united (One entity) with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection.”
So, we are indeed saints and should see ourselves that way because that is how God see’s us.
Need another verse?  1 John 4:4 says,“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” and 1 John 4:15 says.“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God”

This one is my favorite, I say it everyday-  2 Cor 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
We are righteous with God’s righteousness, that qualifies us to be saints.

So, say it and rejoice! Because of Jesus and His grace, we are saints!

Be blessed,
Lori Rola
