James 1:2-4

"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."

Regardless of what we see, faith says, "I know this to be true." No matter what a situation may look like in the natural, the outcome is guaranteed if you know what God has to say about it. Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever."

--Circumstances may change, but the truth never does.

If we have faith and know the outcome to be true no matter what, then we can choose joy in all situations. James tells us that the trying of our faith (and continuing to keep our faith through the trials because of our assurance in God's Word) produces patience. So be encouraged! The next time you are facing a trial and your faith is tested, choose joy! Knowing the outcome is set and you are growing in maturity through the process.
