You can get bitter or You can get better
“But I have rights”,  “I have feelings and I’m hurt”,  “I want an apology”,  “I am angry”,  “I am sad”,  “I shouldn’t be treated this way!”

Instead, think on these things: “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”  (Phil 4:8)

What always settles the matter for me is “if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”   Whenever a questionable thought comes, I can ask myself, is this worthy of praise?  Is there any excellence with or in this thought?

Get better, not bitter.

Blessings,
