A Lie or Speaking Truth?

“As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations, before him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead, and calls those things which are not as though they were.”
Romans 4:17

Did you ever think about what “call those things which are not as though they were” means?  Last night, my husband was teaching a living room full of people, when he told them Allyson’s story of healing.  Alopecia Totalis was the doctor’s diagnosis, a bald head was Allyson’s symptom.

In the natural, looking in the mirror hanging on the wall, Allyson had no hair.  In the Spiritual, Allyson had a full head of hair.  Romans 8:6 says “For to be carnally (relating to physical) minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”  So Allyson began to be spiritually minded and found the healing promises of God in The Word such as Psalms 103 and 1 Peter 2:24, which says that she WAS healed of all her diseases.

Allyson began to speak what The Word, which is living, alive and active (Heb 4:12), said about her.  She would say “My hair is long and strong and thick, I’m healed”.  The mirror on the wall said that she was lying, but The Word of God, her spiritual mirror, said that she was healed with a perfect head of hair.

Which mirror would you have spoken?  If you were listening to Allyson describing herself to someone over the phone when she was bald, and she said “I have brown hair and green eyes”, would you have accused her of lying?

Standing on the TRUTH, which is what The Word Says about you, might not always be the easy way, but it is the RIGHT way!  She spoke the truth, she spoke those things which were not as though they were,  and now that full head of hair is in the physical!

Speak the truth, speak The Word!
