Don’t you feel good when you meet the needs of someone? When you make someone feel special? Give them something that you know they want or would appreciate. It “warms your heart”. A parent loves their child no matter what they do. The child might have just destroyed a favored item, but the love of the parent never leaves.

If we as humans feel this way, can you imagine how the Lord feels about us!
“The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me] I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life) He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” (Psalms 23:1-3 Amp)

All of a sudden it hit me (a Holy Spirit moment) when I read “To feed me” how precious I am to God! He is my loving, caring Father. To feed me? Wow! Seems beneath Him to care about such things, but that is what He does. “I shall not want”. Awesome! What a Father! Green pastures to lie down in. Leads me to the still, quiet waters. Sounds like great places to be. Restful, peaceful, fulfilling places. Refreshes AND restores my soul! Leads me in the paths of righteousness-I don’t have to “try” to find righteousness or go it on my own! I’m righteous with God’s righteousness through Him. That’s a lot of righteousness!

Know how much The Good Shepherd loves you today,
Lori Rola
