Self-Centered Adults
Sunday, November 13, 2016We were all born selfish but as adults, we should know that there are other people in the world and it doesn't revolve around us. Have you ever had a temper tantrum? Your thinking goes something like “This is not fair and I’m not going to stand for this!” Do you pout? What about yelling, giving everyone a piece of your mind? Or the silent treatment? It doesn't matter which one you do, they are all self-centeredness!
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
It’s time to be transformed by renewing our minds! Get into the Word of God and watch your attitude change. Remember, the Word is living, alive, active and powerful! When you read the Word, you're renewing your mind and self-centeredness will change into the good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God. And remember, your righteousness with God’s righteousness through Christ!
