I have been around babies a lot lately and can truly say that they are selfish no matter how cute they are. Anytime they want something or need something, they let you know it in a loud way. Life is all about them. It doesn't matter how tired the parent is or what they are doing, they better be ready to meet the need of that baby. Sometimes they cry just because. Every need has been met. The walking toddler wants everything they see and the word “no” is off limits in their view.

We were all born selfish but as adults, we should know that there are other people in the world and it doesn't revolve around us. Have you ever had a temper tantrum? Your thinking goes something like “This is not fair and I’m not going to stand for this!” Do you pout? What about yelling, giving everyone a piece of your mind? Or the silent treatment? It doesn't matter which one you do, they are all self-centeredness!

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2

It’s time to be transformed by renewing our minds! Get into the Word of God and watch your attitude change. Remember, the Word is living, alive, active and powerful! When you read the Word, you're renewing your mind and self-centeredness will change into the good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God. And remember, your righteousness with God’s righteousness through Christ!

Many blessings,
Lori Rola
