Philippians 4:13 (Amp)
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

I used to think that being shy or timid was a good thing or at least not a bad thing. I would think to myself that I would rather be shy than outgoing and make a “fool” of myself. Then one day I picked up a little booklet called Self-Centeredness: The Source of All Grief by Andrew Wommack. Wow! A lot of things began to change for me that day. One thing among the many was the knowledge that being shy is in fact, being prideful! Being timid is really having a low self-esteem. My low self-esteem was causing self to dominate my entire being. It was all about me, I didn’t measure up.

What does the living, active, powerful Word Of God say about me? I can do ALL things THROUGH Christ and I’m empowered by Him! I have Christ’s sufficiency and am ready for ANYTHING and equal to anything THROUGH Him who INFUSES me with INNER STRENGTH and CONFIDENT PEACE! I’m IN Christ! (2 Cor 5:17) I’m dead to sin and alive unto God In Christ! (Rom 6:11) I’m RIGHTEOUS with God’s righteousness! (2 Cor 5:21) Low self-esteem? No way!!! Shyness be gone!! I’m God-centered now!!

Are you on the shy side? Are you concerned of what people think about you? Get The Living Word of God out and begin to speak what God says about you! Quote the verse above. Make it your own and remember Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Be Blessed,
