Acts 12:6-7
The night before Peter was to be placed on trial, he was asleep, fastened with two chains between two soldiers.  Others stood guard at the prison gate.  Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter.  The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, "Quick! Get up!" And the chains fell off his wrists.

King Herod just put the apostle James to death.
Now it's Peter's turn!
He was thrown into prison until after the Passover when he would be put to death.  He pretty much had no chance of survival, and yet...HE SLEPT.

What a peace our Savior gives!  Such a peace that in the midst of death, we can be like Peter and sleep.
We have nothing to worry about!  The Lord is working everything out, we are His and He is not going to let us fall!
An angel came to Peter and had to strike him in order to wake him up!  Peter was set free.  He was in an impossible situation and yet the God who makes the impossible possible, set him free!

Peter wasn't up worried or begging God to come through, Peter had peace.
Today, rest in the Lord.  Don't worry about everything you have to get done, just know that the same God who sent an angel to Peter is the God that's taking care of you!

Be blessed,
Ally
