Acts 3: 19
Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.

In Acts 3:19 Peter is speaking to the very people that turned Jesus over to be crucified.
He told them that if they would repent and turn to God they would be forgiven.  The one's who were responsible for the death of Jesus just have to repent and their sins would be wiped away!  When Jesus died on the cross He died for the people who put Him there.  He died for you and me.

When He was on that cross He took our sin(s) upon Himself.  Our past sins and our future sins were all laid upon our Savior.  You see, He didn't just take the sins we asked Him to forgive, He took ALL of our sins.  The only sin that is left to be dealt with is the sin of rejecting Christ...Ultimately that one will lead to a destination that is horrifying, an eternity without Jesus.

Today, we can go before the King blamless, knowing that 2,000 years ago Jesus took all of our sins upon Himself.  We can now choose to live righteous (2 Cor. 5:21)!

How do we live righteous?  Easy, by putting our faith in Jesus Christ.  As Christians we are new creations, now when God looks at us, He sees Jesus.  It is truly amazing.  The more we look to Jesus, the more we will act righteous, because that is who we really are.  We are no longer sinners, but saints.

Be blessed,
Ally
