Recently I have been learning a great deal about our words.  The Bible speaks very clearly about our words and the power behind them.
It says in Romans 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God"
This verse defeats the argument that you do not need to say anything in order to share the gospel. While actions are very important, words are also necessary.

Faith comes by hearing.

Recently in church, we were singing a fairly famous song with lyrics that read "You are good, You are good, when there is nothing good in me", as I was singing the lyrics to that song the Holy Spirit definitely revealed some truth to me.  There is so much good in me, there is perfection in me, there is power in me, there is life in me!  I am a new creation with a new identity, a perfect identity. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" I am no longer identified as a sinner, but now am identified as righteous! 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

The God of the entire universe dwells in me!  Praise the Lord!
I've noticed songs with lyrics that are calling for God's presence or for God to show up...That's crazy! He already showed up, 2,000 years ago!  The Lord promises that He will never leave me nor forsake me (Check Deuteronomy 31:6).  Wherever we go, His presence is there!

Lesson of the day:  Be careful what you allow yourself to think, say, and listen to.

I wanted to share some songs with you that have been inspiring me lately, songs that build faith

The words we allow ourselves to listen to impact us! Make sure you are speaking life, and listening to faith building music.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it will shall eat the fruit thereof.
